In Week 2, we considered the natural, or general revelation, of God through his awesome creation.

Week 4: How Sweet Is It?
Did you know...
just how important honey has been throughout history? Not only natural sweetener, but it has antibiotic properties, as well. The honey discovered in Egyptian pharaohs' tombs was still edible. How about getting paid with honey? The Romans used honey as a wound salve. Hannibal, gave his army honey on their elephant trip across the alps to battle Rome. In the Old Testament, the land of Israel was often referred to as the "land flowing of milk and honey". More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb. |
